Last week, I shared how to Upload Fonts into Cricut Design Space while on your desktop computer or laptop. It seemed to clear up some confusion for many, but it inevitably left the question of how to upload various fonts if your primary way of Cricut crafting is an iPad or an iPhone.
First, you’ll need to download an app to your device. There are several “font” apps out there. The current best and most recommended is AnyFont. It costs $1.99. I often hear crafters say, “I would never pay for an app!”. After spending so much on a Cricut and supplies, why skimp now? AnyFont is easy to use, and it is integrated with font downloading sites like my favorite FontBundles. I’m all about removing any frustrations and extra steps when crafting, and by using a tried and true font app will do that (even if it does cost $1.99).
Step 2
Download your new favorite font. I use FontBundles and The Hungry Jpeg. I always recommend grabbing commercial use fonts, even if you’re doing a personal project. You never know when someone may like one of your creations and want to purchase it, and already having commercial use fonts helps with being prepared for this. Commercial use fonts do not have to cost a fortune! Both The Hungry Jpeg and FontBundles have weekly free fonts. I easily build up my font collection with these.
Once you’ve located the font of your choice, click the download button.
Step 3
After the font has downloaded and a screen appears to confirm this download, click “Open in.” A list of choices for you to open to font will appear. Choose the AnyFont app.
A list will pop up showing the font that you downloaded. Click on the font name to open a new screen. The new screen will have an icon with the font name. Click on this, then click “install.”
